Community Policing

Community policing promotes organizational strategies that support the use of partnerships and problem-solving techniques to proactively address immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as crime, social disorder, and fear of crime. AGB is proud to partner with local law enforcement to mitigate factors that can lead to disturbances and crime within communities, keeping residents, business owners, and their customers safer.

AGB’s Tactical Unit Officers (TUO) complete a rigorous 14-week training boot camp to patrol Special Service Areas (SSA). Our TUO squads work directly with local law enforcement and businesses, building and maintaining strong relationships with them in the various districts we protect. We work to decrease crime, loitering, gambling and theft in and around businesses, building an additional layer of security into these communities. Our special knowledge of and training in gang activity increases the safety of officers, business owners, and customers in the SSA Areas that we secure and patrol.

AGB currently protects Special Service Areas SSA 32, SSA 42, SSA 45, SSA 48 and SSA 51 in the Chicagoland area.
